Summary

The Product Specialist – Rollover & Competitive Machines is a 100% field-based role, responsible for providing hands-on technical support, customer training, and product optimization for tunnel car wash systems. As the main point of contact between customers, sales teams, and service technicians, you will work directly at customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of tunnel wash solutions. This position requires extensive travel and on-site interaction to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

Product Expertise & Technical Support

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of tunnel car wash systems, including mechanical, electrical, and chemical components.
  • Provide expert-level technical guidance to customers and internal teams regarding system functionality, installation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Support service teams in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to tunnel car wash operations.
  • Ensure that all tunnel wash systems comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Customer Consultation & Solution Development

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering customized recommendations based on their specific needs and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with sales teams to assess customer sites, recommend suitable tunnel wash configurations, and ensure seamless integration of our solutions.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to assist customers in optimizing their car wash performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

Market & Product Analysis

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify product improvement opportunities and support innovation in the tunnel wash sector.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and product management teams to enhance existing products and contribute to new product development initiatives.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Assist the sales team by providing technical expertise during customer meetings, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
  • Develop case studies, performance reports, and ROI analyses to showcase the benefits of our tunnel wash solutions.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to create product brochures, training videos, and digital content that highlight our product advantages

Education And/or Experience

To excel in this role, the Product Specialist should possess a strong combination of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and business acumen, including:

  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of tunnel car wash systems, water treatment processes, chemical applications, and automation technology.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Customer Orientation: A service-minded approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships.
  • Training & Presentation Skills: Confidence in delivering technical training to various audiences, from technicians to executive-level decision-makers.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to interpret technical data, assess performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for product improvements.
  • Adaptability & Proactiveness: Willingness to travel as needed, stay updated on industry advancements, and take initiative in identifying business opportunities.

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Customer site visits, and on-location product testing.
  • Interaction with multiple departments, including R&D, sales, marketing, and service teams.
  • Flexible working conditions with potential travel requirements (up to 30% depending on the region and project needs).

Communication/Language Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for creating reports, documentation, and training materials.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Persuasive and confident speaking skills for product presentations and negotiations.

Listening Skills

  • Active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • SAP preferred but not required
