Location : This position may be based in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, or Vancouver.

In the Product Specialist role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support for the product management team, along with the management of some tail spend products. This position plays a key role in executing the various business strategies created by the Product Marketing Managers. Product Specialists are responsible for supporting activities across functions to benefit the product line, maximize profitability through sales price / cost management, and support supplier relationships.

Major responsibilities include :

• NexPrice TPC base price and MQU administrative support.
• Support administration and negotiate exception-based cost or pricing with suppliers
• Prepare, maintain and submit supplier / product reports as directed by solvents product management.
• Projects to support efficiency and optimization initiatives
• Support maintenance of supplier grid for key chemistries to track cost, history and optionality
• Provide direction as needed to district solvent teams, sales, purchasing, customer service, operations, and network planning in support of daily business decisions
• Complete new product set-up in support of product launches or as business requires
• Maintain knowledge of and communicate all necessary product information to the organization in a timely manner
• Maintain daily business operations of a portfolio of products
• Primary contact for all pricing questions or issues from the sales organization and supplier community for assigned products
• Prepare product and market updates to the organization for assigned products
• Participate in periodic supplier meetings

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a scientific discipline from an accredited university.

Minimum 3-5 years of sales or purchasing experience in chemicals or related industry, distribution segment a plus

Experience coordinating across many functions to gain alignment and influence execution

Able to manage multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy

Able to synthesize large data sets into actionable reports

Projects a professional and positive image both inside and outside of the company

The role requires a deep proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Enterprise Analytics. SAP and Salesforce.com experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to travel as needed however minimal travel is required in this role; ~15% of time

Pay and Benefits :

The annual expected salary range for this position is $65,920 – 82,400. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.

Dans le rôle de Spécialiste de produits, vous serez responsable du soutien quotidien à l’équipe de gestion de produits, ainsi que de la gestion de certains produits à faible volume. Ce poste joue un rôle clé dans l’exécution des différentes stratégies d’affaires élaborées par les chefs de produits marketing.

Les spécialistes de produits soutiennent diverses fonctions afin de maximiser la rentabilité des gammes de produits par la gestion des prix de vente / coûts, et appuient les relations avec les fournisseurs.

Principales responsabilités :

Soutien administratif pour les prix de base TPC dans NexPrice et pour les quantités minimales de commande (MQU).

Soutenir l’administration et négocier les coûts ou prix exceptionnels avec les fournisseurs.

Préparer, maintenir et soumettre les rapports fournisseurs / produits selon les directives de l’équipe de gestion des solvants.

Réaliser des projets visant à améliorer l’efficacité et l’optimisation.

Maintenir les tableaux de suivi pour les fournisseurs clés, incluant coûts, historique et options.

Fournir des directives aux équipes locales de solvants, aux ventes, aux achats, au service à la clientèle, aux opérations et à la planification du réseau en appui aux décisions d’affaires quotidiennes.

Effectuer la configuration de nouveaux produits dans le cadre de lancements ou selon les besoins de l’entreprise.

Maintenir à jour et communiquer l’information produit pertinente à l’organisation en temps opportun.

Gérer les opérations courantes d’un portefeuille de produits.

Être le point de contact principal pour toutes les questions ou problématiques de tarification de la part de l’équipe de vente et des fournisseurs pour les produits assignés.

Préparer des mises à jour sur les produits et le marché pour l’organisation.

Participer à des rencontres périodiques avec les fournisseurs.

Qualifications requises :

Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en marketing ou en sciences dans une discipline connexe d’une université reconnue.

Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en ventes ou en achats dans l’industrie chimique ou un secteur connexe (la distribution est un atout).

Expérience en coordination interfonctionnelle pour assurer l’alignement et soutenir l’exécution.

Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets de façon autonome.

Capacité à synthétiser de grands ensembles de données en rapports exploitables.

Image professionnelle et positive à l’interne comme à l’externe.

Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint et des outils d’analytique d’entreprise. Expérience avec SAP et Salesforce.com un atout.

Doit être disposé
