Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Product Quality Engineer Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from day 1.

What You’ll Do
- Certification & Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards by managing the systems, processes, and procedures effectively.
- Operational Excellence: Identify and eliminate process variations resulting in external and internal failures using 8D corrective action, Six Sigma, ELSS, and other Quality Management System tools. Support corporate quality initiatives and actively lead continuous improvement activities related to quality.
- Mentor and Train: Develop and implement quality systems training and mentor employees on quality tools and applications to achieve intended results.
- Quality Assurance: Manage warranty and non-warranty issues, implementing corrective actions and control measures to increase customer satisfaction. Improve quality, inspection, and test processes through effective allocation of resources and expertise. Oversee internal quality audit programs and support manufacturing test and inspection processes, including calibration and Witness Tests.
- Quality Documentation: Take ownership of all Quality Management Systems documentation and maintain an effective document control process. Operate an effective nonconformance/supplier quality process in conjunction with the Materials Department (WISPER/ORACLE).
What will make you successful?
Ability to contribute to the Eaton Lean System and providing valuable input to the PROLaunch process, ensuring product quality from the design stage.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with exceptional problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in learning new software, digital skills, MS Office applications, and presentations is essential.
It is also crucial for the successful candidate to have a safety-first mindset, be able to communicate effectively with both office and production employees, and influence continuous improvement in the site’s quality processes while maintaining quality documentation.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree completed in Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Quality in a production environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position. No moving (relocation) is offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer or in progress.
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- ISO 9001:2015 knowledge.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or in progress.
- Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience with Project Management.
