Job summary

Quarry Consulting Inc. is seeking a Functional Consultant for hybrid work in Toronto. The role is permanent/direct hire, with a focus on Banking and Financial Services.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with proven skills in requirements gathering, workshops, and stakeholder facilitation. You will work on SaaS enterprise implementations, design practical business solutions, and coordinate with clients to deliver functional specifications and test scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS, business, finance, or related field.
• Experience in Functional Consulting, Business Analysis, or Solution Consulting in Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of banking products and pricing including deposits and lending.
• Experience leading customer workshops and gathering requirements.
• Ability to design scalable business solutions and solve problems effectively.
• Experience delivering functional specs, user stories, process flows, and test scenarios.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Experience implementing SaaS enterprise applications.

Location: Hybrid - Toronto (4-days a week) flexible

Duration: Permanent - Direct Hire

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in Functional Consulting, Business Analysis, or Solution Consulting within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of banking products and pricing, including deposits, lending, cards, fees, rates, offers, or relationship pricing.
• Experience leading customer workshops, requirements gathering, and fit-gap analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design practical, scalable business solutions.
• Experience preparing implementation deliverables such as functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and test scenarios.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Experience implementing SaaS enterprise applications.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cloud concepts and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with REST APIs, enterprise integrations, and data mapping.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
