Job summary

Air Canada is seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to join the IT team within the SAP Reporting & Analytics landscape. You will promote agile ways of working and drive improvements across business and product teams, delivering timely insights and business case analyses to leadership.

The role bridges business needs and technical delivery, supporting modernization of enterprise planning and reporting while ensuring governance and continuous value delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Analytics, Finance or related field.
3+ years of experience in SAP analytics, reporting, or data platforms focused on SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Experience in data & analytics including data integration, data modelling and transformation, data warehousing concepts and reporting solutions.
Skilled product ownership experience such as business analysis, digital product delivery, solution lead or Consulting.
SAP certification in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP Datasphere is considered a plus
Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
Experience working with Agile development teams and managing product backlogs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Airline or travel industry experience (Commercial, Loyalty, Operations, Cargo, Call Center) is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide advice, support and quality assurance on key objects including tables, views, models, stories and integrations within the SAP Reporting & Analytics landscape.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, the planning and reporting cycle and identify opportunities for digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
Drive initiatives which increase adoption and drive continuous improvement.
Translate business processes and operational workflows into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria for development teams.
Support the Product Manager in executing the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) roadmap and championing best practice architecture principles.
Identify opportunities to modernize the reporting and planning landscape, take ownership and responsibility for the product backlog, ensuring features and improvements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
Manage and prioritize backlog items, enhancements, incidents and service requests.
Collaborate closely with other teams including AMS partner, implementation partner and vendors to ensure prevention, time management and resolution of production issues.
Monitor and improve data quality across reporting solutions. Collaborate with governance teams to build and maintain trusted and reusable data assets, data security, access management and compliance requirements.
