A leading insurance company is seeking a Product Owner for Personal Lines P&C Insurance to lead transformative initiatives and develop comprehensive growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a relevant degree, and extensive experience in the insurance sector. As the Product Owner for Personal Lines P&C Insurance within the Growth Strategies & Initiatives, Ontario, Atlantic and Western regions team, you will be part of a lively performance environment. Leading transformative initiatives for Direct Distribution and DAN, developing and overseeing comprehensive growth strategies that enhance performance for Personal Lines P&C Insurance in OAW. You help develop strategic initiatives, monitor business plans and performance, set targets, identify areas of opportunities to improve and design and deliver business strategies and solutions aligned with strategic ambitions. You make recommendations on the planning of complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in many other areas. Interpersonal savvy, written and verbal communication and influencing skills are therefore essential. You serve as a subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. You will develop and contribute to various growth strategies, using data-driven analysis and business cases to influence decision-making and growth initiatives in Ontario, Atlantic and Western Canada. More specifically, you will be responsible to:
Plan, develop, and monitor strategic projects, initiatives, and performance.
Identify, analyze, and diagnose issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies to mitigate and reduce growth obstacles.
Support the development and monitoring of growth strategies based on data-driven analysis, also prepare detailed presentations and business cases.
Collaborate with various stakeholders incl. Senior leadership and communicate updates ongrowth initiatives
Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support Personal Lines’ growth
Identify trends, client needs, and competitive landscape
Assist in identifying market opportunities and enhancing efficiencies to support growth ambitions
Contribute to a culture of high performance, offering team support where needed to succeed
Foster a culture of innovation by suggesting and testing new ideas

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree or master’s in related field
A minimum of seven years experience in a strategic role (Personal Lines P&C Insurance experience required)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Demonstrated leadership experience, through a management role and/or larger project management
Advanced knowledge of internal Desjardins and DGIG ecosystem, including required partners to drive growth of the division
Advanced proficiency building strategic presentations
Advanced proficiency with performance and marketing insights leveraging analysis tools and reporting, both internal and competitors landscape
Advanced knowledge of project methodologies and strategic frameworks building recommendations
Advanced proficiency working with ambiguity and autonomously
