About the Role!

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with proven experience in delivering complex software products to our clients. You will work in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with a strong engineering team and challenging delivery deadlines. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the project goals.

This is a hybrid position (office location in Burnaby).

You will:

• Act as a liaison between client stakeholders and the development team
• Work with the product team to identify the business requirements and break them down into detailed and itemized user stories
• Produce, organize, and maintain product documentation
• Own the product development backlog
• Track and report on progress, timeline targets, risks, and dependencies
• Lead the experienced engineering team by clearly setting the goals and priorities
• Demo the product features to stakeholders and collect feedback.

You have:

• At least 3 years of related experience in the tech industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Keen ability to identify user’s needs and incorporate them into the product
• A strong understanding of Lean, Agile, and Product Management best practices, product design thinking and usability heuristics
• A good understanding of software development and delivery process
• Self-directed; able to own your work and be accountable
• Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada

Nice-to-Haves

• Interest in the video game industry and familiarity with gamer communities
• Experience with fintech and payment systems
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
