If you have experience as a Product Owner in Financial Lines looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Our company is currently looking for a Product Owner to join our team and take ownership of our Financial Lines Insurance Platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of new features, enhancements, and updates to our platform, while ensuring that it meets the needs of our underwriters and stakeholders. This includes effectively prioritizing the enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and stakeholder input.

Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, you will take ownership of the Financial Lines Insurance Platform and work closely with the development team to deliver high-quality products and services.
This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters.

This is a hybrid work opportunity.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, competition, and customer needs to inform product strategy and prioritization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, clients, and internal teams, to gather feedback and input on product features and enhancements.
• Prioritize the enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and stakeholder input, considering factors such as market demand, strategic objectives, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular enhancement grooming sessions with stakeholders to review and refine user stories, ensuring they align with business goals and stakeholder needs.
• Work closely with the Technical Underwriting team and other stakeholders to understand their priorities and communicate how those priorities are reflected in the product roadmap.
• Continuously evaluate and reprioritize the enhancements based on changing business needs, customer feedback, and stakeholder input.
• Clearly communicate the rationale behind enhancement prioritization decisions to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Conduct regular user testing and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement of the platform's usability and functionality.
• Collaborate with the development team to break down high-level epics into smaller, manageable user stories, ensuring they address stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the user stories, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder expectations.
• Regularly review and monitor progress against the inventory of enhancements, identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or impediments that may arise.
• Monitor product performance and user engagement metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary updates.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the insurance platform, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

Required:

• Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Financial Lines Insurance industry.

Preferred:

• Deep understanding of Financial Lines Insurance products and services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
