Job Description
Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: Until October 31, 2025 (Possibility for extension or conversion to full-time)
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is seeking a Product Owner - Data Management to support data governance activities onboarded through DRAP, as well as support data quality issue management activities across the enterprise. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in Role:
- Support Data Quality and Issue Management (DQIM) activities and Data Governance processes with high customer satisfaction
- Assist user access management to Enterprise DQIM applications and dashboards; perform data analysis to support data quality efforts
- Support reporting and dashboards via PowerBI and Tableau
- Perform data analysis and communicate results to support data quality processes
- Participate in knowledge transfer within teams and business units; identify opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency
- Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving issues, publishing reports, and recommending actions
- Prepare technical reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Assess, research, analyze, and document project needs and outcomes, selecting appropriate techniques to elicit requirements
Must-Have Skills:
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a Product Owner
- Experience re-engineering business processes and building process frameworks
- Experience collecting business requirements and managing stakeholder relationships
- Effective collaboration with partners on data quality initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Jira, and Confluence
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the financial industry with data quality and governance programs
- Master's degree is a plus

Education:
- University degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Management, or relevant field
