Maarut is seeking a senior Business Analyst with KYC/CLM/AML experience to lead requirements definition for a Capital Markets and Business Banking program in Canada. You will define the target state, capture requirements, perform gap analyses, and support market solicitations, ensuring traceability from business needs to compliant solutions.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Compliance, Legal and IT in an Agile environment, document acceptance criteria and maintain audit trails.

Formación

• Experience in business analysis within a project delivery context.
• Knowledge of KYC/KYB, CLM or regulatory compliance in a financial institution.
• Understanding of KYB ownership structures and beneficial owners.
• Ability to write business requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.
• Process modeling using BPMN or equivalent.
• Experience with feasibility studies, RFI/RFP or solution selection.
• Collaboration with Compliance, Legal and IT in Agile environments.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Fluent French, spoken and written; advanced English.

Job Description

Mandate Overview:

• The mandate sits upstream of any implementation: the program is in feasibility, and the analyst helps define the target state, requirements, gap analysis and market solicitation. Scope covers legal entity and institutional clients across several business lines (large corporates, Capital Markets, cards, derivatives), with topics beyond traditional KYC: beneficial owners, tax residency, PEPs, watch lists, periodic reviews, information barriers. The distinction between orchestration (CLM) and regulatory decision (KYC) is structuring and must guide resume review. Traceability is at the heart of the deliverable: obligations, requirements, capabilities and acceptance criteria, with an audit trail of compliance decisions. Stakeholders range from Front Office to second line Compliance, Legal and executives.
  
• Candidate sought: a senior business analyst who has delivered KYC/KYB, CLM or AML/ATF compliance projects in a financial institution, for legal entity clients, with traceability matrices and BPMN modeling on the resume. Involvement in a feasibility study, an RFI/RFP or a solution selection sets this profile apart from analysts who have only worked in the implementation phase.
  

Requirements

Required:

• Business analysis in a business solution project delivery context
  
• Experience on KYC/KYB, CLM or regulatory compliance topics (AML/ATF, LEF, sanctions) in a financial institution
  
• Understanding of KYC requirements for legal entity and institutional clients (KYB, ownership structures, beneficial owners, exemptions)
  
• Writing business requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria and traceability matrices
  
• Process modeling (BPMN or equivalent)
  
• Contribution to feasibility studies, market solicitations (RFI/RFP) or solution selection
  
• Collaboration with second line Compliance, Legal and IT teams in Agile mode
  
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  
• French, spoken and written, advanced English
  

Asset:

• CLM and KYC platforms (CLM, regulatory rules engines, identity verification, ongoing monitoring)
  
• Capital Markets activities and regulatory framework for derivatives and securities
  
• Master data, data quality and client data governance
