Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Product Owner to lead product backlogs, define requirements, and drive delivery with agile teams across finance-focused workflows. You will partner with UX, engineering, and data squads to prototype, test, and iterate new features while guiding discovery activities and validating user needs.

You will define metrics for adoption, efficiency, accuracy, and satisfaction, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable smooth launches, training, and change management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management, ownership, or digital solution delivery.
  • Experience with agile software delivery and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance user needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.
  • Experience with financial systems, budgeting, forecasting, or ERP tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows and governance.

You As a Product Owner Will
  • Own and manage product backlogs, priorities, and delivery coordination across agile teams.
  • Translate business problems, operational workflows, and user feedback into clear product requirements and user stories.
  • Partner with UX, engineering, and data teams to prototype, test, and iterate on new features and workflows.
  • Support discovery activities including workshops, stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and validation of user needs.
  • Work closely with technical teams to understand system capabilities, integrations, APIs, and implementation trade-offs.
  • Identify where AI, automation, and data-driven insights can strengthen financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting workflows without adding risk or complexity.
  • Define and track success metrics including adoption, efficiency, accuracy, and user satisfaction.
  • Align stakeholders across operations, technology, and leadership teams to support product direction and rollout readiness.
  • Support product launches, training, adoption, and change management activities.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning by identifying opportunities for process improvement, workflow standardization, and future product enhancements.
  • Stay current on product delivery practices, digital trends, and evolving AI and agentic AI techniques and solutions relevant to financial systems and the construction industry.
  • Foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and user-centered thinking across teams.
  • Support EllisDon’s broader digital transformation initiatives through practical, scalable product delivery.
This Is The Right Role For You If
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business systems analysis, or digital solution delivery.
  • Experience working in agile software delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ability to balance user needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working in complex operational environments with evolving requirements and ambiguity.
  • Experience with financial systems, budgeting and forecasting tools, cost management platforms, or ERP systems (e.g. D365, IBMi, Workday) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with, or strong working comfort in, AI-enabled and agentic workflows (e.g. low-code/no-code agent-building tools, AI-assisted analysis), and the ability to identify where automation can strengthen financial decision‑making while applying sound AI governance judgment, is expected.
  • The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000.
