Position Overview:
We’re currently seeking a passionate and motivated Product Merchandiser & Demonstrator to join our growing team on a full-time, 3-month contract, based in the Greater Toronto Area. If you have a strong interest in natural health and wellness, this is a great opportunity to represent a globally respected brand known for its range of high-quality herbal supplements, omega-3 oils, probiotics, and immune support products.
Reporting to the National Account Manager, the Product Merchandiser & Demonstrator will play a key role in building brand presence across key retail locations. You’ll be responsible for promoting products, fostering strong relationships with store teams, and delivering an excellent in-store experience that reflects our brand values.
Your territory will include top retail partners in GTA. To be successful in this role, you should be self-motivated, customer-focused, and a strong communicator. A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required, as the position involves regular travel to stores across the GTA.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the natural health, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retail marketing sectors. A background in Health Sciences, Nutrition, or Business is considered an asset, especially for those looking to build a career in the health and wellness industry.
Key Responsibilities:
·Sell and service retail accounts within your territory (GTA).
·Relationship management, ensuring key contact info is updated and any changes are communicated.
·Merchandising to ensure key placement with a focus on NWC brand priorities.
·Support key customer events with scheduled product demonstrations.
·Maintain client objectives by ensuring client and company objectives are met.
·Maintain full distribution, stock, signage and schematics on existing SKUs and secondary product placements.
·Provide product updates (new, changes and inventory updates) to customers.
·Authorize items to meet client shelf schematic standards.
·Audits may be required as needed.
·Manage time and prioritize store call coverage.
·Work some evenings and weekends as required, based on store traffic, promotional activities and customer needs.
·Complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc.
·Communicate effectively both internally with company management and externally with all customers, building rapport.
·Field questions and proactively develop action plans to resolve issues.
·Manage customer expectations regarding expired products according to NWC policies.
·Ad hoc requests as needed.
Required Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or higher education or equivalent job-related experience.
·Aggressive self-starter with a strong bias for action and results orientation.
·High sense of urgency; strong drive and passion to win.
·Keen attention to detail.
·Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills; position requires. daily discussions with customers at all personnel levels.
·Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
·Adaptability to changing demands, priorities, circumstances and directions.
·Ability to work independently, but also successful team building skills.
·Flexible schedule, ability to adapt to customer needs
·Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
·Prior industry experience & knowledge of key customers in GTA an asset, as is comfort with technology for completing timesheets, using email, and participating in online training portals.
