About Our Client

Our client is a principal heavy equipment company, dedicated to delivering robust and efficient solutions for industries such as mining and agriculture.

Job Description

  1. Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research, customer analysis, and competitive landscape assessments to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive advantages within the heavy equipment sector.
  2. Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop compelling and differentiated product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with target customer segments across various heavy equipment categories.
  3. Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch: Lead the planning and execution of successful product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies, creating launch materials, and coordinating across internal teams.
  4. Content Strategy & Creation: Collaborate with the content team to develop engaging marketing content tailored for the heavy equipment audience.
  5. Demand Generation: Work with the demand generation team to develop and optimize campaigns (digital marketing, trade shows, events, PR) that drive leads and interest in heavy equipment products.
  6. Product Lifecycle Management: Contribute to product lifecycle management by providing market insights and feedback for future product enhancements.
  7. Performance Tracking & Optimization: Monitor marketing initiatives' performance, analyze data, and optimize strategies accordingly.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product management, engineering, sales, and other teams to ensure alignment and shared success.
  9. Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to gather insights and promote offerings.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  2. 7 years of experience in product marketing or related roles within the heavy equipment industry.
  3. Deep understanding of heavy equipment product lines, applications, and customer buying cycles.
  4. Proven success in developing and executing product marketing strategies and launches.
  5. Strong analytical skills for interpreting market data and translating into marketing plans.
  6. Excellent communication skills for crafting narratives and presenting complex info.
  7. Proficiency in creating sales enablement tools and marketing collateral.
  8. Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Willingness to travel for industry events and meetings.
