Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to play a key strategic role in our organization, focused on new product introductions and market penetration. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the commercial product portfolio, ensuring they align with the ELIP product managers, portfolio strategies, and business targets. It demands a proactive, strategic thinker who can bring creative energy to customer-facing and digital initiatives. This position reports directly to the Commercial Portfolio Manager, with a dotted line to the Marketing Manager, and requires a minimum of 2 days presence at the ABB Iberville office.

  1. Product Marketing Strategy: Define and drive the annual product marketing strategy for new and existing products, including market positioning, value proposition development, and messaging, ensuring alignment with the division’s strategic pillars and business targets. This includes value proposition (with VOC) and product positioning.
  2. Product Launch & Promotion Execution: Translate strategy into action by developing and managing the detailed roadmap for product launches and promotional campaigns, including objectives, timelines, budgets, creative direction, stakeholder coordination, and deployment. Plan and deliver product visuals (such as photos) and supporting market launch deliverables.
  3. Digital Campaign Ownership of Product Launch and Promo: Develop and execute creative, integrated digital campaigns in collaboration with digital marketing.
  4. Content Creation: Utilize existing content and develop new materials that convey clear and engaging messages, incorporate compelling visuals, and highlight strong value propositions. This includes content for sales tools such as brochures, sell sheets, catalogs, and digital tools.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs for marketing initiatives. Provide regular dashboards and recommendations for improvement to ensure initiatives contribute to sales and market share growth.
  6. Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the key liaison between Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment on market priorities, launch timelines, and sales enablement.
  7. Accountability and Ownership: Oversee all marketing activities, support the Front-End Sales (FES) organization in revenue driving, and manage relationships with key customers and external influencers. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  8. Market Analysis: Collaborate with teams to define forecasts and plans, evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitive data focusing on lead times, specification acceptance, and pricing.
Qualifications for the role
  • Minimum 8-10 years in marketing, project management, and product management in B2B industries, including 5 years in a strategic role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills; ability to align with stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French; experience engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Creative, positive, and innovative mindset; ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Analytical skills to convert insights into actionable plans.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with market research and analysis tools, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Power BI, and other data/system tools.
