Job summary

Valley Fiber is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own the lifecycle of telecom products for our existing customer base. You will define strategy, drive go-to-market plans, and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care to ensure smooth launches.

You will map the customer journey, analyze market trends, and lead cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and customer satisfaction while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management, or related field; MBA preferred.

As a Product Marketing Manager within the Base Management Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the entire lifecycle of telecommunications products targeted at our existing customer base. You will be responsible for driving product strategy, innovation, and ensuring seamless execution of product changes that enhance customer experience and align with business goals. The role will require you to collaborate across departments, develop go-to-market plans, and oversee the successful implementation of product-related initiatives that impact our customers.

What You'll Do:
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM):
    Lead the end-to-end management of products, from concept through to launch, growth, maturity, and eventual phase-out. Ensure that product performance is continually assessed and optimized based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Product Strategy Development:
    Define and develop long-term product strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs. Identify opportunities for innovation, product enhancement, and differentiation in the market.
  • Customer Journey Mapping:
    Map the customer journey to better understand touchpoints and areas where product experience can be improved. Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance each stage of the journey and ensure product offerings are aligned with customer expectations.
  • Go-to-Market Execution:
    Lead the creation and execution of go-to-market plans for new product features, enhancements, or changes. Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth product launches and successful integration into the existing customer base.
  • Product Optimization & Innovation:
    Identify areas for product improvement, leveraging customer data, analytics, and industry trends. Drive continuous product optimization to enhance performance, customer satisfaction, and competitive positioning.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:
    Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy. Understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to make informed decisions about product direction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Act as the primary liaison between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care teams to ensure alignment on product changes, customer impact, and go-to-market plans. Work closely with engineering and operations to ensure product changes are implemented smoothly and effectively.
  • Customer Impact & Change Management:
    Develop and manage communication plans for product changes that impact customers. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared to support the changes, and that customers are clearly informed of product updates in a timely and customer-centric manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within telecommunications or subscription-based services.
  • Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and taking products to market.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects on time.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, customer experience, and the product impact on end-users.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
