Job description

Timac Agro Canada is seeking candidates for a Product Manager to join the Saskatchewan & Manitoba team. As a Product Manager, you will spend your days teaching stakeholders about how our technologies can help Canadian farmers improve their productivity in pursuit of a sustainable and more profitable agriculture. You will exercise your leadership and persuasion skills on a daily basis as you travel around your assigned Region to provide knowledge and support to the Agronomic Technical Consultants and Regional Sales Managers at both the retailer and grower level. Strategy & Business :

  • Travel weekly (85%) within the West to support and lead the ATCs and RSMs to drive sales objectives. You will help build and maintain relationships to generate and increase sales ensuring a strong distribution channel with Ag-Retailers and growers.
  • Represent our brand at events, internal and external to our business and assist in announcing and deploying campaigns to distributors and key accounts.
  • Assisting with identifying growth opportunities and leveraging network connections throughout the industry to support our commercial expansion.
  • Accurately record all visit and call details with Ag Retailers in our CRM daily.
  • Lead forecasting initiatives for your region and provide reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
  • Prioritize administrative duties while you are on the road supporting ATCs & Ag-Retailers.
  • Working with our Canadian and International network of stakeholders to drive innovation, best practices, and a team environment.

Profile

The right person :

  • Has effective and strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate with large teams.
  • Has assertiveness, perseverance, energy, and passion – results-oriented behavior is required to be successful in a management role.
  • Has strong negotiation, relationship building, and influencing skills and behaviors.
  • Demonstrates effective planning and time management skills.
  • Has strong coaching / leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide sales consultants.
  • Has effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle moderate to large complex deals and moderate to high volume.
  • An academic background in agronomy, agri-business, or in a related alternative ag / science focus considered an asset.
  • Has at least 4-8 years’ experience in agriculture (i.e. farming and / or agronomy).
  • Must be a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).
  • Is proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and client management software (CRM).
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Work location is flexible, within the advertised Region.
  • Up to 85% (3.5-4 days a week) travel and overnight travel is required.
  • We are a remote-based company, allowing you to conduct administrative work from a home base. Although we are remote-first, we are always able to collaborate and help each other out through different channels.
  • Extended hours and weekend availability.
  • Ability to purchase business-related items to conduct business and expense for weekly reimbursement.
  • Driving conditions : summer, winter, spring, and fall.
  • A fixed salary, with performance-based bonuses.
  • Flexible, autonomous work schedule on the road within assigned Region.
  • Business tools provided include company vehicle, fuel card, cell phone, laptop, tablet, and weekly expense reimbursement.
