Job Summary: The Product Manager, Platform Enablement is the connection point between Kensington's travel product team and our technical product team. Sitting within the travel product team, this role gathers business requirements from across Product, Merchandising, Sales, and Procurement Operations, then shapes them into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that the technical team builds from. The expectation is to shape solutions, not just document requests: understanding how the business actually works, evaluating options, and recommending an approach. The focus is day-to-day requests, smaller projects, and business-as-usual updates to our proprietary product platform - the foundation for our product database, quoting and booking engine, reporting, and the content pipeline that powers the website. Success depends on knowing the business well enough to ask the right questions, having the technical product fluency to translate the answers, and knowing who to bring in to get the work delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run working sessions with Product, Merchandising, Sales, and Procurement Operations to gather, clarify, and confirm business requirements.
  • Write clear, complete product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria the technical team builds from.
  • Analyze how the business builds, sells, and promotes travel product, mapping current and future state to recommend better ways to use the platform.
  • Assess requests against system constraints, surfacing trade-offs and feasibility questions to the business.
  • Help prioritize competing requests, balancing user impact, feasibility, and business goals.
  • Lead smaller initiatives from intake through delivery, coordinating dependencies and flagging risks early.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact with the technical product team, tracking requests through to delivery and validating delivered work against requirements.
  • Advocate for intuitive design and tagging structures that support how the business sells product and how clients discover it.
  • Stay aware of platform changes outside this scope that could affect the business, and communicate proactively across teams.
  • Maintain documentation and support change communication, onboarding, and adoption for platform updates.
  • Use AI to work more efficiently, and identify where AI could help the business get more from the platform.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in product management, business analysis, or a similar business-side role, ideally within travel.
  • Skilled at facilitating requirements sessions and writing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria technical teams can build from.
  • Technical product fluency, enough to translate business needs into structured requirements and hold a credible conversation with technical teams.
  • Experience analyzing business processes and recommending improvements, not just documenting what was asked for.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable using performance data to inform priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple requests and deadlines at once.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate business needs for technical teams and technical detail for business teams.
  • Fluency in tagging and metadata structure and its role in discovery, reporting, and personalization.
  • Comfortable using AI tools day-to-day, and curious about where AI could help the business get more from the platform.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, CMS platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Background in travel technology, booking systems, or internal commercial platforms a plus.
Compensation

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance. The expected compensation range for this position is: $65,000 to $75,000.

The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.

We are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. If you require accommodation due to a disability at any stage of our hiring process, please advise us when completing your application.
