Job description
Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated bilingual (French and English) Product Manager I passionate about hospitality to join our core Point of Sale experience team. Youll support the research, prioritization, and execution of our flagship POS platform that helps restaurants deliver great service through fast, intuitive, and delightful point of sale workflows. Youll work closely with a product team that includes design, content, user experience research, engineering, and quality specialists to focus on key opportunities for the POS and adjacent front of house operations for restaurants. As a PM I, youll learn and grow while taking ownership of meaningful product areas that directly impact how restaurants serve their guests.

What youll be doing, and what you need to bring, is described below.

What You'll Be Doing
Discover & Define
  • Deeply understanding restaurant operations and the challenges faced by servers, managers, and restaurant staff using point-of-sale and payment systems.
  • Contributing to research initiatives to identify high-value problems for our customers within the POS experience that can be solved elegantly and at scale.
  • Supporting the product strategy and roadmap for our point-of-sale tools, helping prioritize work based on customer needs, business value, and strategic alignment.
  • Learning about emerging trends in restaurant technology, mobile payments, and POS innovations.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and restaurateurs that help inform day-to-day decision making in the hospitality domain.
Risk and Delivery
  • Learning to manage the discovery, research, and design phases for specific features and improvements within the POS experience.
  • Supporting the Product Development and Software Development lifecycles to scope, build, and launch features that customers love and drive business results.
  • Helping to define, track, and report on key performance indicators for your product areas, learning to respond to data insights.
  • Working cross-functionally to support adoption of POS improvements across existing and new customers.
What you need to bring

You're curious and motivated to build things that solve problems. You thrive in ambiguity, and being in the weeds (within reason) is exciting for you. You're passionate about hospitality and love the idea of helping restaurants create amazing experiences for their guests. Youre eager to learn and grow while making meaningful contributions from day one.

Background and Experience
  • 1-3 years of product management experience, or equivalent experience in a related field (consulting, business analysis, project management, restaurant operations).
  • Genuine interest in or experience with restaurants, hospitality, food service, or retail technology.
  • Curiosity about how point-of-sale systems, payments, or restaurant technology work.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing projects or initiatives.
  • Exposure to data analysis and using insights to make decisions; ability to collect, organize, and analyze data from customers that helps drive product decision-making.
  • Bilingual (French/English), with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Strengths and Skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning about restaurants and the hospitality industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to understand customer pain points.
  • Interest in technology and how it can improve operations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different functions.
  • Curiosity about user experience and what makes products intuitive.
  • Eagerness to learn from data and customer feedback.
  • Passion for helping small businesses succeed.
How You'll Know You're Successful
  • You're helping engineers and designers understand the "why" behind customer problems and what solutions will best serve restaurant operators. You find opportunities where small changes can have a big impact.
  • Restaurant customers appreciate the improvements youve contributed to their daily operations.
  • You're contributing to measurable improvements in key metrics like customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and ease of use.
  • You're developing strong product management skills and taking on increasing responsibility within the POS domain.
  • Your work contributes to helping restaurants create better experiences for their guests and staff.
  • You're growing as a product manager and building expertise in restaurant technology and data analysis.
What Makes This Role Exciting
  • Direct Impact: Your work directly affects thousands of restaurants and millions of transactions.
  • Growth Opportunity: Clear path for advancement within our PM career progression framework.
  • Mentorship: Direct access to seasoned product leaders including Anirvan (PM III) and senior leadership.
