Core Responsibilities and Accountability

As the Hydronics/HVAC/Pumps Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the growth and development of this product class within IMS. Under the management of the Head of Sourcing, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Functional Responsibilities

  • Identify and interpret products within Hydronics, HVAC, and Pumps categories sold and quoted by IMS.
  • Develop relationships with vendors to create favorable business conditions, including better margins and accurate delivery dates.
  • Manage and organize product data, ensuring accurate cross-referencing across all brands.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Operations to review and maintain inventory levels (Min/Max) across branch locations.
  • Contact vendors regularly to ensure system pricing is competitive and accurate.
  • Understand rebate program details for reporting and decision-making.
  • Maintain fresh inventory by working with vendors to exchange or refresh slow-moving products annually.
  • Conduct regular reviews (monthly, quarterly, yearly) to maximize rebates and ensure continued supply.
  • Work closely with vendors to position IMS as a preferred partner, negotiating margins, delivery, and lead sharing.
  • Participate in vendor contract and rebate negotiations as needed.
  • Explore new opportunities within the category and collaborate on developing business cases, focusing on ROI.
  • Support the Head of Pricing with analytics and market research to determine optimal sell prices and margins.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, and Data teams to add new products and vendors, strengthening customer relationships.
  • Assist IMS Business Analysts in developing and modifying reporting tools to maximize ROI.
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with Sales and Project teams across all IMS locations.
  • Organize training sessions for products within Hydronics, HVAC, and Pumps, involving vendors, staff, and customers.
  • Participate in site or shop visits to assess project needs, considering technical aspects and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate on marketing and promotional materials with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Leadership and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Query / Power BI, Pivot Tables, and online research.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and team-building skills.

Pay Type: Salary

Hiring Min Rate: 78,000 CAD

Hiring Max Rate: 85,000 CAD
