Job summary

Smartrend Manufacturing Group (SMG) Inc, based in Manitoba, seeks a Product Manager to lead vision, strategy, and market success of new safety-focused products. You will guide strategy through execution with a high-performing cross-functional team, driving growth across global markets and multiple applications.

You will shape the product from concept to launch, owning feature sets, collaborating with sales, marketing, and engineering, and driving market differentiation and customer value.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Background in Product Design Processes, Manufacturing, Training and Project Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in business development or project management with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicator skilled in relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation.
  • Effective at time management in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in internet research and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in working with CRM platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally as needed.

  • Collaborate with marketing to craft clear messaging highlighting differentiators.

THE POSITION

The Product Manager leads the vision, strategy, and market success of innovative industry-leading new products, driving its expansion across global markets and into applications ranging from infrastructure to community safety. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the product from strategy through execution, working closely with a high-performing cross-functional team to achieve growth targets and deliver market-leading results.

What Skills And Experience You Require
