Job description

AOT Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Product Manager to drive the development and strategy of our key platforms, formsflow.ai and GovFlow. Working closely with our engineering, design, and marketing teams, this individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of our flagship offerings.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Software Product Manager leads the product vision and development of AOT's suite of interconnected digital solutions designed for the public and private sectors. This role is responsible for understanding customer needs, market opportunities, and technical capabilities in order to manage this portfolio. As a dedicated product owner, the Software Product Manager works cross-functionally with engineering, design, and stakeholders to drive product success from strategy through execution.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Technical Leadership

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and manage the product backlog.
  • Understand system architecture and dependencies to inform product decisions and trade-offs.

Product Management

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycles, from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Define product requirements and user stories based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Work with design teams to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Support sales and marketing teams in pricing by working with engineering teams to estimate and optimise infrastructure costs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and senior leadership.
  • Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders.
  • Support sales, marketing, and proposal development teams with necessary inputs for building product communication.

End-User Advocacy

  • Champion the needs of users by advocating for usability, accessibility, and intuitive design.
  • Incorporate user feedback into iterative development cycles to improve the user experience.

Research

  • Collaborate with marketing to conduct product testing, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Stay current on low-code / no-code trends, AI / RPA / workflow automation technologies, and user expectations.

Roadmap Planning

  • Develop and maintain a clear, prioritized product roadmap aligned with strategic goals.
  • Set short- and long-term product goals in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional partners.

Data-Driven Mindset

  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data insights to drive product decisions, optimize workflows, and validate hypotheses.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Must-have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of total work experience, preferably with a focus on SaaS or workflow automation tools, including 5+ years of proven product management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering user-friendly software products, ideally in the low-code / no-code space.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of product management processes, including agile methodologies.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear, value-driven features.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred :

  • Experience working on low-code platforms or digital process automation tools.
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies or communities.
  • Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) and / or product management certifications (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM, or similar).
  • Background in UX, business analysis, or software development.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Arrangement : Remote, with the opportunity to work in-person or hybrid from our office in Victoria, B.C.

Travel Requirements : Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, user research, or conferences.

On-Call Requirements : None, but position may be required to work nights and mornings for touchpoints with the India-based development team.

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000 per year, based on experience.
