The Product Management team at IA Clarington Investments is currently accepting applications for the full time position of Product Manager. Reporting to the Product Management Lead, the primary responsibilities for the Product Manager include providing comprehensive product management support for an assigned range of Funds, as well as providing support for projects and initiatives covered by the Product Management team. The successful candidate will excel at delivering best-in-class product management expertise and support to optimally cover their assigned range of funds.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as a primary product management liaison with representatives of portfolio management teams across a range of assigned funds.
- Responsible for developing in-depth knowledge of assigned funds, including investment and positioning attributes, performance history and the relative value proposition vs. competitive offerings.
- Field ongoing inquiries from the sales team related to funds covered, delivering accurate and timely responses.
- Proactively manage a suite of product management support for assigned funds, including the development and maintenance of promotional and regulatory information and collateral.
- Develop and maintain a deep set of competitive insights and analysis for the products covered.
- Collaborate with colleagues in product management and product marketing in developing and maintaining current, accurate and impactful support for funds in focus.
- Source market and fund information, conduct detailed data research and analysis, update core support material, proof and integrity check all assigned product support material for accuracy and to maintain error-free, industry compliant standards.
- Collaborate with partner departments assisting in activities to successfully launch new products.
- Participate in product integrity reviews to ensure fund messaging and positioning remains true to the investment mandates of each fund.
- Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues in product management, product development, marketing, sales, investment management and other ancillary departments.
Minimum Requirements:
- A University degree with an emphasis on Business Administration, Finance or Economics. An MBA is preferred but not required.
- CFA enrolment or completion.
- Advanced knowledge of French is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the asset management industry, with a minimum of 3 years direct experience in product management or product research.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, investment products and all major asset categories.
- Motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- The ability to multi-task and re-prioritize activity.
- High standards of quality control and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct.
