BDC is building an AI-native incubator focused on reimagining banking for Canadian entrepreneurs. We are recruiting an experienced Product Manager to own the incubator's impact, roadmap, and end-to-end outcomes.
You will operate with autonomy, defend decisions with evidence, and drive ROI under an agile, fast-paced environment. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with cross-functional teams, balance uncertainty, and deliver practical, customer-focused solutions that align with BDC priorities and
means working in a healthy, inclusive, and skilled workplace that puts forward the best conditions to bring together unique teams where employees are empowered to act. It also means being at the centre of ambitious economic and financial projects to see further and to do things differently, to fuel the success of Canadian entrepreneurs.
Explore the BDC Way in our Culture Book
Canada is experiencing a period of intense economic and technological change that won't wait for traditional timelines. To adapt, BDC is founding a new AI-native incubator with the mission to discover new ways to support Canadian entrepreneurs.
At the incubator, our goal isn't to study the future, it's to create it. To do this, we are recruiting a small team of experienced AI-native builders who will work on a blank canvas to reimagine how banking for small and medium-sized businesses works.
We sit at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. We work with startup speed, challenge existing assumptions, and focus on delivering practical outcomes that will meaningfully change how BDC serves entrepreneurs.
You will be joining a team with strong executive sponsorship and a mandate to experiment, learn quickly, and turn promising ideas into real solutions. Our success will not be measured by how many ideas we generate; it will be measured by the value we create for employees, clients, and Canadian businesses.
We're looking for a Product Manager who owns the impact of the incubator. This isn't a role that sits above the work and thinks big thoughts about the mid-to-long-term. You'll operate one to two cycles ahead of the team. We need someone who can see far enough to steer, but who is fundamentally an operator: the kind of person who gets things done, not just plans them.
You're accountable for what the incubator ships and the value it creates. On a traditional team you'd lean on Product Owners — here, you won't have any. The team is autonomous and holds the PO work itself, but the buck stops with you. You own the outcome end to end.
You're also the voice of the business. Our UX researcher owns the voice of the user, which frees you to own the numbers: you build and maintain our business case, our impact model, the costs, and the ROI. You're the one who can defend what we're doing with evidence, not enthusiasm.
