Role Overview:
We are seeking a Product Manager who will own the end-to-end product development lifecycle and ensure ideas move efficiently from concept through launch and iteration. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into roadmaps, epics, user stories and final product, while you drive flawless execution. This role reports to the Chief Product Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day‑to‑day product development lifecycle from discovery to deployment and iteration.
- Act as the product owner for our existing products as we scale the team.
- Translate product strategy into actionable epics, user stories, and release plans; prioritize the roadmap to maximize customer value and business impact.
- Partner with subject‑matter experts in Bitcoin, benefits & rewards, payroll & HR, and compliance to capture requirements and validate solutions.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, design, customer support, finance, marketing, and sales to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives; remove blockers and continuously improve team velocity.
- Define, track, and communicate product KPIs; use data to inform decisions and iteration.
- Champion customer insights by leading user research, beta programs, and feedback loops.Partner with our Director of Support to define our customer listening program.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication of scope, timelines, and status for stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure products meet privacy, regulatory, security, and performance standards, especially given the environments we operate.
- Mentor and coach product team managers as the team scales.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of product management experience for SaaS products, including 2+ years leading teams or programs.
- Proven success shipping SaaS, B2B, and/or fintech products from concept to scale.
- Deep understanding of agile/lean product development and release management.
- Experience working with distributed engineering teams.
- Skilled at turning customer behavior data, usability testing results, and market research into clear recommendations.
- Ability to effectively communicate through written, verbal, and presentation skills to the Block Rewards leadership team.
- Experience working with Microsoft Teams and Jira.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
- Ability to work in Kelowna, British Columbia or remotely with overlap hours in the Pacific Time Zone (8 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Domain knowledge in payroll, benefits & rewards, and/or Bitcoin.
- Experience scaling products in a start‑up or high‑growth environment.
- Familiarity with privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory considerations in financial software.
- MBA or similar advanced business/technical degree.
