Geologic is seeking a Product Manager to own what we build and why for a cloud-first product in the energy data space. You’ll work day to day with the software development team and closely with our commercial, sales and support groups to deepen domain knowledge quickly.
You will shape the backlog, write clear requirements, define success metrics, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and support to ensure the product lands well and delivers measurable value.
Geologic is a trusted data, software, and information solutions company committed to the Energy Industry. Everyday we provide global customers with market-leading data, software, platforms, analytics, education, news, and insights that enable them to make vital decisions that drive growth and efficiency. We deliver critical data-driven intelligence ranging from surface and subsurface well/asset level information & insights to corporate performance benchmarking data and A&D transaction data.
People make us successful. We're driven by a team of individuals whose unique backgrounds and experience allow us to provide the best products and customer service on the market. Together we're transforming the energy intelligence landscape.
Geologic is building a new cloud-first product, designed from the ground up on modern technology with AI at its core, and we're looking for a Product Manager to own what we build and why. This is a role for someone who has shipped real products with real software development teams, and who can turn messy customer problems into a clear, prioritised plan.
You'll work day to day with the software development team, and closely with our commercial, sales and support teams. Our users are specialists, so a large part of the job is getting deep enough in the domain to hold your own with them. You don't have to arrive knowing the energy industry, but you do have to be the kind of person who learns a new domain quickly and thoroughly.
You'll own the product direction: discovery, roadmap, prioritization, and the calls about what ships now, what waits, and what we deliberately leave out. You’ll be accountable for ensuring the product is the right thing, not just a delivered thing.
Working alongside the Software Development Manager and the software development team every day, you'll help shape the backlog, write requirements that are clear enough to build from, and make trade-offs with the software developers as the work unfolds. You're present for the hundred small decisions that arise mid-build, rather than handing over a document and stepping away.
Time will be spent with customers, as well as the people who sell and support the product; decisions are grounded in evidence rather than opinion. You'll define what success looks like, measure it after launch, and use it to shape the next round of work. You'll also help us launch properly by working with sales, marketing, and support so the product lands well.
