Job summary

Cozey is offering a Product Management Internship in Canada, designed to immerse you in how digital furniture products are built. You will partner with your manager to shepherd a feature from concept to production over four months, writing specs, coordinating with engineering and design, and analyzing live data to measure impact.

The role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on product work, and collaboration across engineering, design, and product teams.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently finished, studies in a field relevant to product, project management, or tech.
  • Strong English proficiency, as this role reports to an English-speaking manager and daily collaboration happens in English.
  • Some hands-on exposure to product or project work, whether through coursework, a personal project, a hackathon, a case competition, or a prior internship.
  • Clear, direct writing. You can take a fuzzy idea and turn it into a one-pager someone else can act on.
  • Comfort pulling data, reading it, and drawing reasonable conclusions from it.
  • Curiosity about how things work, and the patience to ask "why" before jumping to "how".
  • A willingness to work across engineering, design, and the broader team. Time spent in Jira, Linear, Notion, or Figma is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Own one digital feature end to end: define the problem with your manager, work with engineering and design to build it, and review how it performs once it's live.
  • Draft user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs for features on the tech roadmap.
  • Run user research and competitive scans that feed directly into prioritization decisions.
  • Keep sprint logistics on track: prep tickets, update statuses, flag risks at standups.
  • Sit in on planning, design reviews, and engineering syncs to learn how product decisions get made.
  • Pull the data, write post-launch readouts for the features you support, and document what you learn so the team can reuse it.

Job description

At Cozey, we're not just selling furniture. We're improving the living spaces of customers across Canada and the United States, and our vision is straightforward: to become the world's leading furniture company. We value data, learning, and adaptability, and we believe in a platform where ideas are heard, respected, and implemented, and where every team member is a key player in the journey.

That journey runs on our digital products. Every improvement to how customers discover, configure, and buy a Cozey piece starts as a decision someone on the product team made. This internship puts you inside those decisions, not adjacent to them.

The mission of the Product Management Intern at Cozey

Your mission is to learn how digital products actually get built at Cozey, by working closely with your manager on the day-to-day and taking at least one well-scoped feature from concept to production over your four-month internship.

That means you won't just be observing. You'll sit in on planning, design reviews, and engineering syncs to understand how product decisions get made, then apply that to a feature you own yourself. You'll write the spec, work with engineering and design to build it, and look at the data once it's live to see whether it did what you said it would.

We're looking for someone curious and analytical who likes untangling problems, and who's excited to be part of a growing Canadian start-up with very large ambitions.

What you'll be doing:
What we’re looking for:
What we offer:
  • A team of curious, driven people who like building things, and a culture where everyone's ideas land on the table.
  • Exposure to Cozey's leadership team and the chance to learn from the people shaping where the company goes next.
  • Room to experiment with AI and new learning tools.
  • A salary of $20/hour.
  • 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work hybrid.
  • A bright, dog-friendly office furnished with the pieces you'll be talking about all semester.

If you're ready to join us on our mission to build the best customer experience in furniture, we'd love to hear from you.
