New permanent, full time opportunity for an experienced Production Line Manager - Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Manufacturing. This a new role with our client, a growing manufacturer based in Richmond Hill, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing processes, deep knowledge of PCB Assembly and quality control standards, and proven leadership skills to manage a high-volume production environment in compliance with Canadian occupational safety and industry standards. Hours: Monday - Friday (9.00 am - 5.00 pm) with occasional overtime & weekends during peak demand. Salary: 90K - 120K based on experience. Full benefits after 3 months. Free parking. Responsibilities
Production Planning & Coordination
- Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet delivery targets
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow
- Manage capacity planning to accommodate production fluctuations
- Supervise, train and mentor production staff (operators, technicians, shift leaders)
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures (OHSAstandards in Ontario)
Process Optimization
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Monitor KPImetrics such as yield rates, downtime, and defect levels
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 standards for PCBmanufacturing and rework
- Work closely with QA to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence
- Maintain proper documentation for traceability and audits (ISO9001, ISO14001, or IATF16949, depending on market sector)
Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance schedules for SMT, THT, AOI, wave soldering, reflowovens, and other PCBmanufacturing equipment
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize unplanned downtime
Reporting
- Provide regular production performance reports to senior management
- Track and manage production costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma Green/ Black Belt, IPCCertification) are an asset
- Minimum of 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in PCBmanufacturing (SMT& THT processes)
- Experience working with high mix/ low-volume or high-volume PCBproduction environments
- Strong understanding of SMTAssembly, wave soldering reflowprofiles, AOI, ICT, and functional testing
- Familiarity with ERP/ MESsystems for production tracking
- Knowledge of ESDprotection procedures and equipment calibration standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
