Introducing Masabi

At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

Our Justride platform is used in over 250 locations globally, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Transit.

Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what.

The Role_

We’re looking for a Product Lead to guide one of Masabi’s most strategic customer programs : a multi-year fare payment modernisation initiative with ARTM (Autorité Régionale de Transport Métropolitain), the regional transit authority serving Greater Montréal.

You’ll be the dedicated product lead for this program, partnering closely with the agency to help them modernise fare payments using Masabi’s configurable SaaS platform. Your focus will be on aligning their vision and needs with the capabilities of our platform, ensuring we deliver real impact while maintaining product integrity.

This is a customer-facing leadership role with plenty of variety, from running bilingual workshops and documenting detailed requirements to steering delivery teams and translating complex goals into scalable solutions. You’ll be the main product point of contact for both the agency and our internal teams, serving as a trusted advocate for the customer and a champion of our platform.

You’ll work alongside Masabi’s platform Product Managers, Business Analysts, engineers, and delivery leaders to turn strategy into action and make fare payments simpler, more accessible, and more efficient for millions of riders.

This is a high-impact role with a clear path to leadership, evolving into a “Head of Product, Strategic Programs” position overseeing future large-scale deployments.

Location_

Remote-first for candidates based in Eastern Canada, with quarterly travel to Montréal and occasional site visits as required.

Responsibilities_

  • Own the end-to-end product relationship with ARTM, aligning program goals with Masabi’s product roadmap and platform principles
  • Lead bilingual (EN / FR) discovery workshops to clarify goals and document requirements through artefacts such as user journeys, briefs, and functional specs
  • Maintain a single prioritised product backlog; guide the customer toward configuration-first solutions over custom development
  • Represent Product in scaled agile ceremonies including PI Planning and program-level syncs
  • Collaborate with platform PMs to ensure ARTM’s needs are factored into the wider roadmap
  • Build trusted, strategic relationships with customer stakeholders, positioning Masabi as a long-term partner
  • Manage product input into governance reporting, including KPI dashboards, risk registers, and SteerCo materials
  • Act as the primary product contact for internal delivery teams and external systems integrators

About You_

  • Strategic thinker with experience leading complex customer-facing product initiatives
  • Solid background in product management within SaaS, platform, or mission-critical B2B environments
  • Product leadership experience including line management or coaching other PMs
  • Confident facilitating workshops and writing clear, detailed documentation for enterprise users
  • Comfortable with scaled agile delivery (e.g. SAFe), including PI Planning and cross-team coordination
  • Fluent in English and French, able to present, write, and collaborate in both languages
  • Skilled at balancing customer priorities with product direction to drive scalable outcomes
  • Confident presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong track record of executive-level stakeholder engagement and roadmap negotiation
  • Comfortable with regular travel to Montréal for program events and planning (10-20%)

Bonus Points_

  • SAFe certification (PO / PM or SPC) or equivalent agile-at-scale training
  • Exposure to fare collection, payments, or transit technology in North America or EMEA

Some of Our Benefits_

  • 20 days of vacation per year (in addition to public holidays), plus the option to buy an additional 5 days of vacation each year. On top of this, our office is shut every year between Christmas and New Year, totalling a whopping 28+ days of vacation
  • Private Healthcare and Life Insurance via Trinet
  • Choice of a workstation
  • CAD$325 per year to spend on your home office
  • Ability to work for up to 3 months per year from any country in the world
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Fun and collaborative environment with a focus on making a difference in the world
