Job summary

Alstom in Kingston, ON is seeking a full-time Product Industrilization Manager to lead industrialization across the full lifecycle from design for manufacturing through production and product lifecycle. You will ensure industrial readiness, manufacturability, and alignment to QCD while bridging engineering intent with shopfloor execution.

You will drive DFM/DFT, define industrial requirements, lead FAR/FMR/S MR milestones, and optimize processes and tools for practical shopfloor methods.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in Product Industrial Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrialization environments.
  • Experience with DFM, tooling and process deployment.
  • Experience in APSYS/Lean environments.
  • Desirable familiarity with railway industry practices and signaling products.

Responsibilities

  • Concurrent Engineering & DFM: drive DFM/DFT and ensure manufacturability.
  • Industrialization & Readiness: lead milestones, define MBOM and processes.
  • Methods & Tooling: lead design/deployment of tools and jigs.
  • APSYS & Continuous Improvement: deploy APSYS and improve SQCD metrics.
  • Production & Lifecycle: ensure manufacturability, optimize cost, lead time, quality.

Your future role

Lead industrialization across full lifecycle from Design for Manufacturing (DFM) through production and product lifecycle. Ensure industrial readiness, manufacturability, and alignment to Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) while bridging engineering intent and shopfloor execution.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Concurrent Engineering & DFM:
    - Drive DFM/DFT and ensure manufacturability
    - Define industrial requirements and product industrial scheme
  • Industrialization & Readiness:
    - Lead FAR, FMR, SMR milestones
    - Define MBOM and industrial processes
    - Lead PFMEA and risk mitigation actions
  • Methods & Tooling:
    - Lead design/deployment of tools and jigs
    - Ensure practical, repeatable shopfloor methods
  • APSYS & Continuous Improvement:
    - Lead APSYS deployment and maturity
    - Improve SQCD performance (FPY, OTD, Lead Time, Cost)
  • Production & Lifecycle:
    - Ensure manufacturability and sustainability
    - Optimize cost, lead time, and quality
    - Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
