Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Product Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and release suspension components and systems for production vehicles.
  • Participate in developing vehicle-level functional objectives and establish, and achieve, component-level objectives.
  • Manage components/systems from initial concept through modeling, analysis, validation, and launch.
  • Perform component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), ensure model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), support development, validate components (DVP&R), manage changes (CN), handle engineering bill of materials (EBOM/CODEP), support builds, manage issues (GIMS), design fastened joints, and develop assembly torque specifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of chassis engineering design and development experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in automotive industry through hobbies or college projects.
  • Passion for working in the automotive industry.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with problem-solving tools like Red-X.
  • Experience with robust design methodologies such as DFSS.
  • Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter.
  • At least 2 years of suspension design, development, and validation experience.
  • Experience with release systems.
  • Participation in SAE collegiate design project teams.
