Help run day-to-day Product Development operations: organize projects, control documentation (SOP/AVL), coordinate samples and tests, keep specs and IES/SPD libraries current, and maintain schedule. This role acts as the central coordinator for the Product Development team—keeping projects, documents, and vendors aligned so work moves forward smoothly. It also includes basic DMX/SPI lighting control support, such as addressing fixtures and creating simple scenes.

Core Responsibilities
Project Coordination
  • Maintain PD schedules, risk/action logs, and decision logs; prepare a weekly status update.
  • Book photometry and safety tests; track ETAs for samples, tooling, and lab reports.
  • Own meeting notes and follow-ups with vendors, labs, and internal teams.
Document Control
  • Assist on Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs), Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), drawing packs, labels/markings, and packaging specifications.
  • Track and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs); make sure the newest versions are saved and shared in the correct folders or PLM system.
  • Manage the IES and SPD libraries, version spec sheets and installation guides.
Samples & Pilot Builds
  • Prepare sample/tooling purchase orders with Sourcing; receive, photograph, and log results.
  • Run pre‑lab sanity checks (power draw, basic lumen/efficacy math, wiring checklist).
  • Assemble first‑article bundles (photos, measurements, reports).
  • Help with building and assembling prototypes, including wiring, labeling, and preparing samples for testing.
Controls Systems Support
  • Set up and test DMX/RDM and SPI fixtures; verify polarity, termination, and grounding.
  • Configure addressing, universes, and pixel maps; create basic scenes/sequences (static looks, chases, fades).
  • Export show files/presets for controllers.
Release & Launch Support
  • Build release bundles (datasheet, IES, certifications, instructions) for Sales/Marketing.
  • Submit website/portal content requests; ensure traceable links to released revisions.

  • Familiarity with DMX512/RDM addressing and SPI pixel systems; able to create simple scenes.
