Job description

Are you a Product Development Analyst with professional experience in the manufacturing cabinet industry? Are you passionate about understanding cabinet design trends and integrating them into product development?

Agilus is recruiting for a Product Development Specialist - Cabinets/Kitchens in the Cabinetry Industry in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

As a Product Development Specialist, you will support the design and development of customized kitchen and cabinet products to meet client specifications and needs.

A typical day:
  1. Manage product development from concept to launch, including design, testing, and quality control in alignment with market trends.
  2. Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet customer needs and manufacturing feasibility.
  3. Analyze industry trends and competitor products to recommend new product concepts, finishes, and materials, such as anticipating popular colors or woods.
  4. Monitor competitor products and identify opportunities.
  5. Work closely with marketing and sales teams to create detailed product specifications and launch strategies for new cabinetry and kitchen products.
  6. Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs.
  7. Ensure seamless product integration into the product catalog and present new designs to dealers for approval and market release.
Successful candidates will have:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cabinetry or kitchen manufacturing industry.
  2. Strong proficiency in MUSE2020, SketchUp, or similar CAD tools. Adobe Suite: Acrobat, Creative Cloud.
  3. Experience managing product development projects from concept to final market launch.
  4. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with internal teams and external dealers.
  6. Previous experience designing kitchens from layout, style, and hardware is strongly preferred.
  7. A passion for interior/kitchen design.
  8. Chief Architect, SketchUp, CabinetVision experience would be an asset.
Total rewards:
  1. $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually.
