Product Development Associate
The Product Development Associate provides support for product development activities associated with development and commercial product projects.

Responsibilities :
- Prepare and execute laboratory scale batches
- Provide support to the formulator in the preparation, documentation and execution of laboratory scale batches and engineering batches.
- Perform sampling as part of cleaning verification and cleaning validation activities
- Provide floor monitoring of manufacturing and packaging processes, when required.
- Participate in problem solving and investigation of PDS batches and cleaning activities.
- Provide support to project managers
- Draft forms, procedures, manufacturing and packaging sheets, protocols and reports required for the smooth running of the PDS department.
- Coordinate and carry out the PDS Lab inventory
- Participate in the creation, execution and closing of change notices and CAPAs
- Provide assistance to other product development production activities.
Skills and experience required :
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry), or a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry), or a related discipline, from a Canadian university or a degree recognized by a Canadian university or accreditation body as being of equivalent level in a scientific field.
- Minimum of three (3) years in the pharmaceutical industry
- Practical experience in semi-solid forms and / or development processes and / or cleaning verificationStrong technical writing skills
- Experience in formulation (an asset)Dynamic and able to multi-task
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Canadian (Health Canada);
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA guidelines and safety measures
- Highly organized, detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on precision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (English and French, written and spoken)
- Strong problem-solving and technical writing skills
- Mastery of safety concepts and process methodology
- Flexible and able to adjust to PDS process schedules
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook).
