Job description

Responsible for developing premium product and ensuring it performs through garment fit and construction, and is meeting the needs of the DUER customer.

Duties:

  1. Own development of garments
  2. Organize daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines
  3. Develop and create tech packs and specs to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, cost and construction.
  4. Measure garments and evaluate development against submitted tech pack
  5. Prepare for fittings & presentations: Measure, evaluate fit samples submits
  6. Lead fittings with the support of the Sr PD and PD Manager: Present style history, take notes of the required fit and construction corrections discussed for assigned styles
  7. Spec and analyze garments to determine compliance of measurements, workmanship, construction direction, and maintain fit intent
  8. Analyze and communicate the outcome of the fittings and construction reviews with cross-functional and vendor partners.
  9. Coordinate all factory and vendor communication throughout development process to ensure accurate material sourcing, and successful execution of product
  10. Maintain information docs, development tracker and product master
  11. Build vendor & cross-functional relationships through effective communication, through email, in person and virtually.
  12. Manage product/wear testing to assure the products meet the outlined standards
  13. Experience with denim wash/washed garments
  14. Strong understanding of garment specs, construction and tech packs
  15. Working knowledge of fabric, construction, draping, and pattern making
  16. Basic understanding of grading
  17. Self-motivated individual who takes initiative
  18. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple administrative tasks & competing priorities
  19. Attention to detail, and motivated by organization, discipline, data & accuracy
  20. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team

Qualifications:

  1. At least 2-3 years of Denim specific Product Development experience
  2. Degree/diploma in Fashion Design or related field
  3. In-depth experience with Excel and Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  4. Experience with PLM

Reports to:

  • Product Development Manager.

Works Closely with:

  • Design, Product, and Production / Quality.

Location:

  • Part time in office and part time remote.

Job Type: 12 month contract
