Job summary

Hilton Foods Canada is seeking a Product Developer to manage NPD/EPD projects and ensure launches meet timelines and commercial targets. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams including Planning, Procurement, Production and Quality to deliver on briefs.

The role requires 2–3 years in product development, strong project management, and the ability to present to and build relationships with retail product developers. A full driving licence is also required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in at least 1 Product Developer role.
• 2-3 years in Product Development.
• Experience presenting to and building relationships with retail Product Developers.
• Strong project management skills.
• Able to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects.
• Numerate, analytical and proficient in Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Holding a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Communicate NPD briefs from customers to the wider business and manage projects.
• Create product concepts aligned with customer briefs, market and consumer trends.
• Project manage new products from start to launch per the NPD process.
• Support meetings with customer product developers.
• Support cross-functional feasibility meetings to assess concepts and costs.
• Gather costings information for NPD briefs from Concept & Commercial teams.
• Assist in presenting concepts and product submissions to customers.
• Refine products based on customer feedback and keep stakeholders informed of changes.

Job Title: Product Developer

Salary Range: CAD$ 65,000 - 81,920

Working Type: On-Site

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Manage agreed NPD & EPD projects so they launch on time & achieve commercial targets. Achieve this through collaboration with customers & internal functions, especially Planning, Procurement, Production and Quality.

Key Accountabilities

• Communicate NPD Briefs from customers to wider business, set up and manage projects on internal system
• Create appropriate product concepts in line with the customer brief, market and consumer trends
• Project manage new products from start to launch following the NPD Stage & Gate Process
• Support meetings with customer product developer
• Support cross-functional Feasibility Meetings to establish if & how concepts can be made and at what cost
• Gather information for product costings based on NPD Brief supplied by Concept & Commercial team
• Support the presentation of concepts and product submissions to customers
• Refine and align products with customer feedback
• Update relevant stakeholders as customers request changes to ensure product is still viable and any changes in cost are captured and communicated
• Hand over customer-approved concepts and documentation to Process Technologist for scale up but continue to support project
