The Role

We’re seeking a Product Designer to drive the strategy and execution of seamless, engaging experiences that enhance the Canadian real estate journey while meeting business objectives and goals. This role requires a balance of strategic UX thinking, user research, interaction design, and high-quality UI execution, ensuring every design decision is rooted in data, usability principles, and data-driven insights.

You will work across the entire product development lifecycle—from discovery and research to prototyping, testing, and final implementation. As a key contributor, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to define user experiences, refine REALTOR.ca’s Design System, and shape the future of our digital products

Reports to: Design Manager

Effective Date: July 2025

Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end design solutions, from initial concept to final production, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
• Conduct and integrate user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and validate design effectiveness.
• Develop detailed user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to support intuitive interactions.
• Shape and evolve the visual design language, balancing creativity with usability, accessibility, and performance.
• Maintain and advance the REALTOR.ca Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency in UI components.
• Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth implementation and maintain design integrity across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design decisions with business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs.
• Define key performance metrics for design impact and iterate based on user insights and analytics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design for desktop, mobile web, and mobile apps.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual execution.
• Experience leading design projects from ideation to implementation, balancing user needs with business goals.
• Strong understanding of UX research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design.
• Expertise in Figma or Adobe Creative Suite, with a solid grasp of prototyping tools.
• Deep knowledge of design systems and scalable UI component creation.
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to advocate for design best practices.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior designers (a plus)
