Job Description

This company is seeking a Product Designer to shape intuitive, data-driven digital experiences that support millions of Canadians in their homebuying journey. As part of a collaborative, mission-driven team, the Product Designer will focus on crafting seamless interactions across desktop and mobile platforms. This role combines strategic UX thinking with strong visual design execution, aimed at delivering accessible and inclusive products that reflect the diverse needs of users across Canada.

Reporting to the Design Manager, the Product Designer will work throughout the product development lifecycle, from research and ideation to prototyping and final implementation. This is an opportunity to directly influence the evolution of Canada’s leading real estate platform and make a meaningful difference in how people find and access housing. This is a one year contract with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end product solutions, from initial concept through to high-fidelity UI and developer handoff.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and improve user outcomes.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design mockups that reflect a user-first mindset.
  • Evolve and maintain the company’s Design System, ensuring consistency and accessibility across all products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and QA—to align on user and business goals.
  • Monitor design performance through analytics and user feedback, iterating as needed to improve impact and usability.
  • Ensure all design outputs are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with WCAG standards.
  • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and may mentor junior designers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing UX / UI design for web and mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects across the full design lifecycle in Agile environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma (or equivalent tools), with knowledge of prototyping and visual design best practices.
  • Solid understanding of UX research methods and ability to translate insights into design strategy.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining scalable design systems.
  • Effective communicator, able to clearly present ideas and design rationale to stakeholders.
  • Committed to creating inclusive, user-centered designs that serve a diverse audience.
  • Experience mentoring others or leading aspects of design projects is a plus.
  • Remote-friendly work environment with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits from day one.
  • Generous vacation and personal days to encourage time for rest and wellbeing.
  • Professional development budget and opportunities to attend design conferences and training.
  • A culture that prioritizes inclusion, equity, and support for women in tech through mentorship, resource groups, and leadership pathways.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a widely used platform that helps Canadians find homes and build communities.
