Job summary

Price Industries Limited, a North America–leading air distribution products company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and test HVAC equipment in Vaughan, Ontario. You will perform calculations, prepare BOMs and drawings, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 1–2 years’ experience and solid knowledge of HVAC principles and manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related program.
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design for HVAC systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and related design tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and testing is a plus.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing is an asset.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems.
• Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Stay current with trends and advancements in HVAC technology and engineering.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems; familiarity with electrical and controls is an asset.
• Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems is considered an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
