As a Product Designer at Hiive, you’ll join a fast-growing, high-impact product team. You’ll work within a modern tech stack alongside strong Design, Product, and Engineering partners who move quickly yet also care deeply about craft. We’re looking for someone who can ramp up fast, collaborate cross-functionally, and help drive meaningful, measurable outcomes for the business.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to strategize and design for one of our product pillars, ensuring that your work aligns with business goals.

  • Developing hypotheses and suggesting specific research and testing to help teams better understand our audience.

  • Carrying out solid design fundamentals, using visual principles to improve the polish for the product.

  • Building interaction flows and diagrams that simplify complex information with thoughtful information architecture, illustrating successful user journeys.

  • Demonstrating an effective design process that helps with the efficiency of your work.

  • Synthesizing different stakeholder inputs and technical constraints to build and present human-centred workflows.

  • Communicating well with partners and team members, responding and documenting your work in a timely manner.

  • Acting as a key collaborator, assisting and supporting others in an inclusive manner.

  • Working across various constraints and issues, making decisions to help the team get results

  • Helping cross-functional groups carve out a strong narrative, detailing how design plays a role in the larger vision.

  • Supporting others around you, championing the company values with a positive outlook.

  • Responding effectively and respectfully to various working conditions with a growth mindset.

Required Experience:

  • 3–5 years of professional design experience.

  • Mastery in Figma and other applicable design software.

  • Relevant experience with different design methods and techniques.

  • Resume highlighting your education, employment history, and relevant skill set.

  • An online or PDF portfolio (please include any passwords).

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a Fintech startup or designing for marketplaces.

  • Previous experience facilitating research and user testing.

  • Technical proficiency to develop, build, and scale systems.

  • Ability to adapt well in quickly changing environments.
