About this role

As a Product Designer at Skip / JET, you'll be part of a UX team looking after the apps and websites our customers use to order their food globally.

You’ll work with an empowered cross-functional team that prioritises using research and data to help understand the problem space, before moving through the design process to deliver engaging and user-friendly solutions.

We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can. We like to explore user problems in-depth and we like to speak with users regularly, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.

You'll be part of a passionate UX team of 80+ UX designers, UI designers, product designers, service designers, researchers and writers across 7 countries.

Location : Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to : Team Lead, Product Designer

These are some of the key components to the position :

Focus on key user problems and come up with innovative solutions to those problems.

Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, user journeys, wireframes, visual design mock-ups and prototypes as needed to effectively conceptualise and communicate detailed interaction behaviours

Work across the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery; creating documentation, wireframes, hi- & lo-fi prototypes and pixel perfect UI.

Collaborate with engineering & product management to build experiences and present your work to stakeholders

Collaborate on research alongside UX researchers, and conduct usability studies.

Collaborate and communicate with product management to build your design roadmap and manage timelines.

What will you bring to the team?

3–5 years of experience in a UX / UI design role.

Ability to execute on projects end-to-end from problem discovery, hi-fidelity designs, and developer handoff.

Experience working in agile / sprint-based environments.

Experience in regard to collaboration / projects with product, research and tech teams.

Experience designing UIs for both one app platform (iOS or Android) and responsive web.

Experience working with and contributing to design systems and component libraries.

Experience with unmoderated user testing tools (Maze, usertesting.com)

High fidelity prototyping skills (Figma, Axure etc.)

Comfortable presenting to larger audiences and senior stakeholders.

Experience with workshop facilitation and design sprints.

Ability to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and proactively contribute to the objectives of the business.
