Job summary

Job Summary: The Design Analyst plays a pivotal role in merging data analysis and creative design skills to drive informed decision‑making and enhance products and services. Working collaboratively, this role involves understanding product components, analyzing complex data sets, and translating insights into actionable design improvements, ultimately aiming to achieve exemplary user experiences and business success. Additionally, taking charge of ensuring compliance with building codes, regulatory bodies, and the development of new testing methods/instruments to exceed established standards.

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis using research and design orientated programs to gather insights from various data sources. Identify patterns, trends, and correlations to implement design improvements to enhance usability, functionality, and overall customer satisfaction
  • A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of design changes on product testing results. Use results to iterate and refine design solutions to find best condition
  • Data-Driven Design Solutions: Utilize design-orientated programs to gain insights to inform and justify design decisions. Incorporate data findings into the design process to create user-centered and data-informed design solutions
  • Drafting and Design Documentation: Create detailed design drafts, blueprints, and technical documentation to communicate design concepts and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design drafts align with data insights and project requirements
  • Design Validation Tools: Develop and create design/research orientated tools for the company using Python/Excel, specifically tailored to aid in design-related matters. These verifiers will serve as valuable tools to ensure design accuracy, adherence to established standards, and streamlined processes within the organization
  • Product Manuals: Develop product manuals that showcase the precise specifications and guidelines for product assembly and usage. These manuals will encompass crucial information, including design limitations, testing data, and recommended usage scenarios, providing essential guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Establishes effective working relationships with customers, management and other key stakeholders within the business
  • Act as the primary point of contact for engineering testing requests, serving as the central communication hub for all related inquiries and project initiation
  • Serve as the main liaison to provide comprehensive support to drafting, estimating, and sales teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration among these departments

  • Thorough & formal experience in data analysis, data visualization, and statistical methods
Skills
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, or similar technologies
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of UX principles to exceed user expectations when creating researchorientated programs
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation techniques to enhance design-orientated programs being created
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex testing data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and data integrity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights from data analysis
  • Understanding of testing instruments/systems and industry standards for building code
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Adaptable to changing project requirements and able to meet tight deadlines
