Job description
Product Data Analyst - Electronic Arts [EADA250910]

About Us!

Founded in 2011, Hatch Innovations is based in Vancouver and has an international team with over 80 people located across the globe. We’re creative thinkers who have a passion for technology and are constantly thinking of innovative solutions to help better serve your business and customers. Our clients include video game publishers such as Electronic Arts, Epic Games and Krafton.

EA - Project Air is a new kind of mobile platform — part creative stage, part storytelling tool, part social experience — powered by AI and real-time interaction.

We’re building a space where people don’t just watch or post — they create, perform, and co-invent new characters, stories, and worlds. It’s expressive, emotional, and deeply interactive.

About the Role!

We are seeking an experienced Product Data Analyst to join our team as the first dedicated analytics hire. In this role, you will help us measure what matters, uncover insights, and guide the future of an entirely new category of entertainment.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define success metrics, analyze user behavior, and evaluate experiments. Your expertise will transform raw data into actionable stories that inform product strategy, growth loops, and user experience

Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you’ll be a foundational member of the team with a unique opportunity to shape both the product and company culture from the ground up.

This is a remote position with working hours in Pacific Time (PT).

You will
  • Define, track, and maintain core product metrics for engagement, retention, creation, and growth.
  • Build dashboards, pipelines, and reporting systems to give the team a shared view of performance.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and improve core loops.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of user behaviour, funnels, and cohorts to identify opportunities and pain points.
  • Partner with Product Managers on KPI setting, opportunity sizing, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality data collection, schema design, and event instrumentation.
  • Contribute to building a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the team.
You have
  • 3+ years in data analytics, product analytics, or a related field, ideally in consumer mobile, social, or entertainment products.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Mode, or similar).
  • Strong experience with A/B testing design and analysis.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses with clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills — capable of telling compelling stories with data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort working in 0→1 environments — self-starter who thrives on building systems, not just using them.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing) and scripting in Python/R is a plus.
  • Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work during the Pacific Time Zone's regular business hours
  • Flexible to attend remote meetings during the evening when required.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience working alongside ML/Data Science teams, especially on recommendation or personalization systems.
How to Apply
  • To apply, please send your PDF resume and Github profile.
  • Note: A background check will be required for employment in this role.
