Job summary

CAE seeks a student for a Cybersecurity Specialist Intern role in Montreal, offering real-world security work on CAE’s high-tech products. You will analyze safety risks, implement security controls, and help protect training devices and simulators, classrooms, and medical equipment through hands-on duties.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, share knowledge, and contribute to a stimulating environment while completing your university or college degree requirements.

Qualifications

• Soft skills: collaboration (teamwork).
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network products (Cisco).
• Familiarity with ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, COBIT frameworks.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and real-time systems (asset).
• Experience with vulnerability tooling and log aggregation (e.g. Rapid7 InsightVM, Kiwi Syslog, Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications to assess safety risks on training products.
• Implement security measures and data recovery plans.
• Install, configure, test and upgrade security software in a product laboratory.
• Secure networks with firewalls, passwords and other controls.
• Inspect hardware for vulnerable access points.
