Job Summary:

Rakuten Rewards is looking for a Product Analyst who is a creative problem solver with a passion for delivering data-driven insights. The role emphasizes leveraging testing and experimentation frameworks to improve customer onboarding and the business performance of online consumer products. This is a high-impact position focused on enabling product leaders to identify opportunities and implement improvements in product features.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, estimate impact to prioritize focus, implement and analyze tests.
  2. Define key business metrics for experimentation and run large scale experiments that deliver impactful results to the business.
  3. Build scalable reporting systems using SQL, BI tools, and scripting languages that help provide insights to business stakeholders.
  4. Perform deep dive analysis to explain what happened and recommend improvement opportunities.
  5. Be the expert on the data sets and data tools available to improve the product experience using data.
  6. Help monitor the quality of the data that is being made available through the company’s reporting tools.

Qualifications:
  1. Experience with A/B testing.
  2. Proficiency in applying statistical approaches to test design, measurement, and analysis.
  3. Skills in translating data-driven learnings and statistical models into actionable insights and effectively communicating these to key stakeholders.
  4. Experience working with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Test & Target, SiteSpect) is preferred.
  5. Strong SQL skills, comfortable working with large datasets (e.g., financial, clickstream) in a Big Data environment.
  6. Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
  7. Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to senior management.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. 2+ years of professional experience as a business analyst, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
  2. A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or engineering is required.
