Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by identifying prospective clients' vehicle needs through questions and listening.
  • Promote new business and expand the customer base via prospecting and referrals.
  • Sell new and pre-owned vehicles, demonstrate vehicles including test drives.
  • Stay informed about automotive terminology and technological advancements in our inventory.
  • Be familiar with all product features, specifications, prices, colors, options, and standard equipment; participate in product training.
  • Use effective closing techniques; seek management assistance when needed; focus on profitability.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, explaining features, warranties, and paperwork to foster loyalty.
  • Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight quality and efficiency.
  • Set monthly productivity goals and plan strategies to achieve them.
  • Adhere to dealership processes to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Must have experience and success in selling pre-owned vehicles.
  • Follow safety policies and report accidents immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; position may be modified as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in computer skills (internet & MS Office) and record-keeping systems.
  • Effective negotiation skills and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Valid BC Driver's License with a good record and a current VSA MDC License.
