Overview

The primary focus of this position will be the day-to-day administration of the hot-rolled, pickled, and cold-rolled product mix, pricing, and facility loading for the Sinton Division.

Responsibilities
  • Navigate the US and Mexico Steel Industry, Service Centers, End Users, and Supply Chains.
  • Provide pricing guidelines based upon inquiry and order entry activity and upon insight gleaned from pricing feedback from sales team, from trade publications, from market indices, from import trends, etc.
  • Field and respond to routine customer inquiries from the sales team.
  • Coordinate order placement and facility loading with the balance of the Product Management team at other Flat Roll Group divisions.
  • Work with Metallurgists and Product Development team to develop and market new products.
  • Ensure production lines have customer orders to maintain operation flow.
  • Facilitate production lines with substrate availability to continue operations.
  • Perform all duties safely and professionally.
  • Overnight travel required on a regular basis to attend Customer meetings, Industry Trade Shows, and Sales Meetings.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study

  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Position also requires demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Direct sales within Mexico;
  • Carbon flat roll marketing and/or sales;
  • Analyzing large volumes of data using extensive formulas and Excel pivot tables; and
  • Utilizing multiple database programs including Qlik
