A major Canadian broadcasting corporation in Moncton is seeking a Producer Technician for the Information Morning program. This role involves developing content, directing broadcasts, and engaging with the community. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in media, strong critical-thinking skills, and be capable of managing diverse content across platforms. This is a full-time, permanent position with an early morning shift.
Producer Technician for Information Morning Moncton (On-Site) (English Services). Status: Permanent. Position Language Requirement: English. This role requires full-time on-site presence.
Information Morning, Moncton, is eastern New Brunswick's essential source of news, weather, and information listeners need as they start their day. The program is rooted in the community and committed to telling compelling stories about people who live and work in the area. CBC New Brunswick is looking for a Producer Technician to support and direct Information Morning, Moncton. The successful candidate will assist with the on-air broadcast of the program, pitch story ideas, chase interview guests, gather audio, choose music, write scripts and produce content for online platforms as required. We are looking for a creative, hard-working, self-motivated person with excellent critical thinking skills who is interested in taking on a range of tasks and eager to try new things. This is a permanent full-time position on weekdays for the early morning shift (4:30 AM start time).
You will play an integral role in the Local Services strategy with a focus on three priorities: You will work with the coordinating producer and host to ensure that all CBC journalistic standards are met and that the content on Information Morning Moncton is fair, balanced, accurate, thoughtful, immediate and resonates with the communities we serve. You will further our original, enterprise and investigative storytelling and ensure we are talking about what matters most to people throughout the province. You’re innovative and will champion new story treatments, a diverse range of content on our digital and social platforms and new workflows. You inspire others to do the same. You’re not afraid to take creative risks.
