FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, is seeking a Produce Packer Heavy in Vancouver to re-pack produce orders into smaller packs while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, operating power equipment, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.

This includes counting and sorting produce, repetitive lifting of raw material with weights of up to 50+ lbs, moving boxes and organizing workstations, and operating power equipment to move pallets in the warehouse.**Shift Schedule - 07:30 a.m. - 04:00 p.m. Wednesday & Sunday Off****Responsibilities*** Sort and grade products to ensure Food Safety requirements are met.* Accurate piece count of produce to meet customer order requirements.* Safely load workstations with raw material to prep for re-pack.* Re-pack of raw material from large pack size orders to small size packages.* Repetitive lifting of raw material with weights of up to 50+ lbs.* Operate power equipment such as power jack, hand jack or forklift to move and arrange products as required.* Assist in obtaining raw material from walk-in coolers as directed by Line Lead or Packing Supervisor.* Sanitize, wipe and clean workstations to maintain overall cleanliness of areas.* Frequent moving and arranging of boxes to maintain an organized and safe work environment.* Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.* Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.* Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.* Perform other duties as assigned**Skills****Certifications****Education**No education required**Experience*** 0-1 years of experience* Previous experience working in food distribution, manufacturing or similar environment considered an asset.* Previous experience working with power equipment including power jack, hand jack, forklift or similar considered an asset.**Physical Demands*** Reasonable accommodations will be taken where necessary* Frequent twisting, bending and repetitive lifting of up to 50+ lbs throughout work shift.* Standing for the whole duration of the work shift.* May be required to operate power equipment.**Travel Requirements**0-25%Sysco is committed to Employment Equity.
