Responsibilities:

• Train staff on policies, procedures, and effective customer communication
• Schedule departments to meet business needs
• Handle customer complaints efficiently and properly
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety policies within the store
• Train and motivate staff, delegate and prioritize workload
• Merchandise advertising and promotional programs effectively
• Set and pursue achievable sales goals
• Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
• Manage product receiving, storing, and handling for efficiency
• Ensure proper product rotation and signage to enhance sales
• Maintain pricing integrity
• Hold accountability for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key and alarm responsibilities
• Perform any other duties necessary to provide courteous service, maintain competitive pricing, and uphold hygiene standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Preferred: 2 years of Produce Management experience
• Understanding of critical success factors for a discount food store focusing on low prices
• Knowledge of produce department operations, merchandising, inventory management, invoice checking, and cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Ability to manage people and work independently
• Comprehensive knowledge of produce area operations and products
• Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
