Are you enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environment? Our Innisfail Food Store is offering an excellent opportunity for you! We’re currently looking for a part-time Produce Clerk to join our dynamic team.

Position: Produce Clerk

Casual: Less than 24 hours per week

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional customer service
2. Guide customers to specific items
3. Assist in receiving and inspecting fresh produce
4. Stock, face, cull and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) process
5. Wash, cut, and package product for fresh cut program
6. Water plants and change water in flowers as required
7. Ensure consistent supply and display of fresh produce
8. Operate equipment safely
9. Maintain temperature logs and ensure all food and equipment temperatures comply with food safety guidelines
10. Verify package dates and remove expired products
11. Stay informed about Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalls and CAC’s required response, providing customers with current information
12. Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

1. Outstanding customer service and communication skills
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Team player with the ability to work independently
5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
6. Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
